Deadlines matter. Get strategic guidance before you respond.
A rushed email, incomplete explanation, or poorly prepared hearing can create consequences that follow you into transfer applications, graduate programs, residency, licensing, or employment. Contact us before submitting a written response or attending a disciplinary meeting whenever possible.
High-Stakes Academic Problems We Help Address
We work with high school, college, graduate, professional-school, and medical residency clients facing serious academic or professional setbacks. Common matters include:
- Academic dishonesty, cheating, plagiarism, or accusations involving unauthorized writing tools
- Professionalism, conduct, behavioral, or threat-related complaints
- Academic probation, suspension, dismissal, or threatened dismissal
- Disciplinary hearings, committee meetings, and institutional appeals
- Voluntary withdrawal, transfer, or reapplication after an academic crisis
- Character and fitness disclosures for law school, bar admission, nursing, and other licensed professions
- Explanations of disciplinary history or weak academic performance for a new institution
- Medical residency professionalism concerns, non-renewal, or dismissal
Every case is different. We begin with a paid evaluation so we can review the facts, identify immediate risks, and recommend the appropriate scope of work. All services require upfront payment.
Final fees depend on complexity, document volume, urgency, the number of meetings or written submissions, and whether transfer or reapplication support is required. Payment for an individual service may be credited only toward the comprehensive Academic Crisis Strategy Package if the client upgrades. It cannot be credited toward another individual service. Fees do not include attorney services, filing fees, expert witnesses, or work outside the agreed scope.
How the Process Works
- Urgent evaluation: We review the allegation, timeline, institutional communications, policies, and immediate deadlines.
- Strategy: We identify the client’s goals, risks, strongest facts, and the most constructive path forward.
- Response preparation: We help organize evidence and develop written or oral responses that are accurate, focused, and professional.
- Meeting or hearing preparation: We practice likely questions, answer structure, tone, presentation, and difficult follow-up questions.
- Academic continuity: When appropriate, we develop a transfer, reapplication, disclosure, or professional-licensing strategy so the client can continue moving forward.
Selected Client Outcomes
The following examples are anonymized and do not promise the same result in another matter. Outcomes depend on the facts, policies, decision-makers, and the client’s cooperation.
Medical school professionalism matter: A client facing dismissal received help developing a strategic path that ultimately allowed the record to reflect a voluntary withdrawal. The client later transferred to another medical school.
Doctoral-program unauthorized-tool accusation: A client dismissed after an allegation involving unauthorized writing tools received transfer and application support, enrolled at another institution, and completed the doctoral degree.
Character and fitness disclosure: A law-school applicant with a prior misdemeanor received help preparing a detailed disclosure statement, gained admission to multiple law schools, and later used the statement during the bar-licensing process.
Testing-integrity accusation: A nursing student accused of using a proxy test taker received help preparing a response within the university process and was cleared to continue the program.
CRNA applications after a licensing setback: SOS Admissions helped a nurse in recovery from addiction apply to nurse anesthesia (CRNA) programs. The client’s nursing license had previously been revoked, but the client had completed five years of remediation and returned to good standing with the nursing board before receiving our application assistance.
Medical residency dismissal: A resident facing professionalism concerns received application and transition support and successfully moved to another training program.
Educational Strategy, Not Legal Representation
SOS Admissions is an educational consulting company. We are not a law firm, do not provide legal advice, do not represent clients in court, and do not communicate as legal counsel. SOS Admissions also does not provide special education services of any kind. When a matter involves criminal exposure, civil litigation, immigration consequences, licensing law, or other legal issues, the client should consult a qualified attorney. Our role is to help clients understand the educational process, communicate professionally, prepare for institutional meetings, and plan how to continue their education or career.
This service is not special-education advocacy. We do not provide IEP, 504-plan, disability-accommodation, or K-12 special-education representation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I contact SOS Admissions before responding to my school?
Whenever possible, yes. Your first written or oral response can shape how the institution understands the matter. We can help you organize the facts and respond professionally before avoidable mistakes become part of the record.
Can you guarantee that I will not be suspended or dismissed?
No. No consultant can ethically guarantee an institutional decision. We provide strategic preparation based on the available facts, policies, deadlines, and the client’s goals.
Do you replace an attorney?
No. We are educational consultants, not attorneys. Some clients work only with us, while others also retain legal counsel. If the matter presents legal exposure, we recommend obtaining advice from a qualified attorney.
Can you help after I have already been dismissed?
Yes. Depending on the circumstances, we may help with an appeal or reconsideration request, a voluntary-withdrawal strategy, transfer or reapplication planning, disciplinary explanations, and preparation for future disclosures.
Do you help with plagiarism or unauthorized-tool accusations?
Yes. We help clients review the allegation, organize relevant facts and documentation, prepare a written response, and practice for disciplinary meetings. We do not help clients fabricate evidence or make false statements.
Is my information confidential?
We handle client materials professionally and limit access to the consultants working on the engagement. Clients should avoid sending highly sensitive documents until they have completed the intake process and received instructions from our team.
